P Chidambaram launches book at NCPA in Mumbai

Congress minister P Chidambaram launched his book 'Undaunted-Saving The Idea of India' at NCPA on Monday with columnist Anil Dharker(to his left), Sajid Shinoy (to his right) and Menaka Doshi.

P Chidambaram's book is a collection of essays which revolves around the political scenario of the country during the Narendra Modi regiment which, in his own words, have been the 'most challenging and adventurous that I have spent as an Opposition politician.'

P Chidambaram has included a plethora of subjects like interference of the central government in institutions, the complete derailment of an economy that was previously growing at a rate of 7.5 percent and the polarization of an ancient civilisation that threatens its very survival.

Moreover, with the book, P Chidambaram wishes to examine that is India facing the end of the idea which was given to us by our forefathers?

P Chidambaram has also written books like 'Speaking Truth to Power: My Alternative View' and 'Standing Guard: A year in Opposition', Fearless in Opposition: Power and Accountability' and more

Formerly, P Chidambaram has also served as the Union Minister of Finance of India. Before joining politics, Chidambaram enrolled as a lawyer in the Madras High Court. He had offices in Delhi and Chennai and practised in the Supreme Court and various high courts of India.
