Mimi Chakraborty is an MP from the Jadavpur constituency. She is a popular Bengali actress as well and has appeared in films like Bojhena Shey Bojhena, Proloy and Dhananjay. Apart from that, she is a pet parent to two dogs, her labrador Chikoo and Siberian husky, Max.

Mimi Chakraborty is a pet-lover and cherishes the bond which she shares with her Labrador and best friend, Chikoo. She calls Chikoo her baby and even shifted home last year, just because her baby needed a bigger place to play around!

In a picture which Mimi posted on Diwali, she was seen posing alongside her two pet dogs, Chickoo and Max. She wrote, "Happy Diwali from us to you...!"

The actress loves her pet dogs so much so that she has opened an Instagram account in the name of 'CHICKOO ND MAX' where she shares photos and adorable videos of them. The page has garnered over 11.5k likes and counting.

"When he finally agrees to get clicked," Mimi wrote as she posed with Chikoo and kissed him.

Mimi looks her best as she is seen cuddling with her dog, Max.

In a very adorable wish for her pet, Max, Mimi writes, "He doesn’t listen to, neither follows my commands nor obeys orders but is apple of my eye my fur ball my cuddle baby my photo bomber my candy stealer my tantrum king my love my MAXu who turns 2 today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAX. (hope u grow obedient with age). Mommy loves u and cake is on the way."

Although Mimi doesn't celebrate Valentines week, but she celebrated Hug Day with her Max. "I generally don’t keep a track of this valentine week but it's definitely a HUG DAY for me," she writes.

Mimi has a happy-go-lucky life with her dogs and they make for a really happy family.

Mimi doesn't just love her dogs but also stands against animal cruelty. Recently, she addressed the Lok Sabha on the need for strict laws against animal cruelty. According to IANS, she said, "There is no proper law or an Act for street dogs except for a few sections in the Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals Act of 1960 which has not fully covered them from getting regular treatment, immunisation, medicines, hospitalisation and other support."

She added, "Apart from all of this, another major issue which pains my heart is against the private handlers of security hotels' dog squads who are using the canines 24x7 but are not taking any proper care of the dogs. Even, those dogs are not getting enough food and water regularly and are mistreated in the rain, sun and extreme weather conditions."

Mimi showers her dogs with a lot of love, cuddles and snuggles.

Mimi often addresses her dogs as Sunshine and lifeline. She spends quality time with her dogs and plays around with them.

As she wished Chikoo on her birthday, she expressed her heart and said, "To my LIFELINE to my heartbeat to my laugh lines to all the destressing and antioxidants cuddles kiss and love to the best thing that ever happened to my life ever it's you.. All good health and lots of ur fav.treats my son. MAMA LOVES U."
