Coronavirus outbreak: Mumbaikars wear different face masks to protect themselves

As the country braves through the outbreak of coronavirus with Maharashtra reporting 42 confirmed cases of coronavirus, citizens in Mumbai are fighting the contagious pandemic in their own unique way.

From old to young, and from children to couples, people across different walks of life were seen sporting face masks. In the picture, two men can be seen donning different face masks as they walk the empty streets of Bandra.

While there has been a shortage of face masks, Mumbaikars have created their own face masks. From handkerchiefs to dupattas and more, citizens are taking all necassary precautions to stay safe. In the picture, a woman can be seen using her multi-coloured handkerchief as a face mask to protect herself amidst COVID-19.

In Maharashtra, Mumbai alone has reported a total of 15 positive cases of coronavirus with eight people testing postive from the peripheral areas of the maximum city. In the picture, a garland seller can be seen using a men's handerchief as a face mask.
