Introducing the Miss Diva Universe 2020, Adline Castellino! The Mangalore girl was crowned by outgoing titleholder Vartika Singh in the pageant held at the YRF Studios in Mumbai on Saturday.

Castellino will represent India in the Miss Universe pageant this year. 

The 21-year-old model completed her schooling from the Indian Central School in Kuwait and moved to Mumbai to pursue her higher studies from St Xavier College. 

On her Instagram, Castellino has been vocal about how participating in a beauty pageant like the Miss Diva was her childhood dream. Her caption for this picture reads, "I used to dream of being there."

Castellino's favourite hobbies include bike-riding, dancing, reading books and character-sketching. 

The Miss Diva Universe is quite motivated to work for the welfare of farmers in the national costume round of the pageant. Dressed as an Indian woman farmer, she says that the country needs more smart villages than smart cities

Castellino describes herself as an optimist who is always ready to take risks. 

She considers mentally and physically differently-abled people as her influencers. 

She likes to motivate the people around her and show them the positive side of all situations. It is quite evident from her Instagram profile where she uses motivational quotes in her captions. 

Castellino considers previous beauty titleholders Madhu Sapre, Gul Panag and Priyanka Chopra as her inspirations to compete in a beauty pageant.

She believes that vision and intuitive power sets her apart from others. 

The Miss Diva participants underwent training and grooming under the able mentorship and guidance of Bollywood actor and former Miss Universe, Lara Dutta.

The nationwide auditions for the competition began in November and were held in 10 cities like Lucknow, Kolkata, Indore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai and Delhi.

The final leg of auditions were held in Mumbai in December 2019 where the 20 finalists of LIVA Miss Diva 2020 were chosen. The participants then took part in four city sub-contest event followed by a thematic night. Lara Dutta was a mentor and a guide to finalists who underwent rigorous training and grooming for the competition.
