According to media reports, the incident took place at the Kendriya Vidyalaya in Bihar's Muzaffarpur area.

Two of the students thrashing their fellow classmate are children of a dreaded gangster, Shashi Bhushan alias Fauji, who is currently in jail since 2013. All the students viewed in the footage are minors and are reportedly class 11th and 12th students.

The duo -- Vishal and Vikky -- had allegedly had even threatened to kill the victim if he raised the issue with the school administration.

The victim, Uttam Kumar, disclosed this after a team of senior officials of Kendriya Vidyalaya visited Muzaffapur to conduct an inquiry into the incident on Friday, India Today reported.

"They threatened me not to report the incident to anyone or else they would kill me. They also threatened that they would not let me appear for my exams if I reported the matter to the school principal", Kumar told India Today.

According to the reports, the brutal bashing took place on August 25th. The police lodged the FIR and have launched a probe into the event after the video went viral.

The incident took place as a reaction to the victim allegedly complaining to the school administration about one of the brothers.
