Telugu Desam Party (TDP) state coordinator secretary M Subba Rao on Friday registered a complaint against Opposition party leader Jaganmohan Reddy, for "using abusive words and provoking the public to shoot Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu in public".

"There is a need to avoid these types of provoking persons in politics and we request people to stay calm and restore the peace in the city," Rao said.

The Pattabhipuram station house officer said the complaint has been registered and an inquiry will be conducted, adding if it is a criminal case, the court will take action against the accused.

Earlier in the day, during his campaign at Nandyal, Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party leader Jagan- mohan Reddy spewed an absolute shocker when he said people like Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu should be shot in public.

Jagan said, "A person like Chandrababu Naidu should be shot in public for his double speak and unending deeds of corruption."
