Suspended JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna was arrested from KIA/ PTI
Suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, accused of sexually abusing multiple women, was arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) upon his arrival at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru early on Friday morning.
According to SIT sources, the 33-year-old MP was escorted to the CID office for questioning upon his return from Munich. The SIT intends to submit him to the Special Court and seek police detention for further interrogation, reported PTI.
Per the news agency report, security was strengthened at Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospitals, where Prajwal underwent a series of medical tests, including blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and cardiac health. According to the sources, the SIT may also administer a potency test to prove his ability to commit sexual assault.
On Friday, the Special Court for Public Representatives will hear Prajwal and his mother, Bhavani Revanna's bail applications. Bhavani has requested anticipatory bail in an alleged kidnapping case, albeit she has not been prosecuted, the report added.

State Home Minister G Parameshwara confirmed the arrest, saying Prajwal was apprehended after landing in Munich about 12:40 am. "The SIT will follow the legal procedures," he stated.
Per the news agency report, Prajwal is facing three charges of sexual abuse. His father, Holenarasipura MLA HD Revanna, was earlier jailed and later freed on bail after being accused of sexually abusing the family cook, who was also allegedly beaten by Prajwal.
Prajwal, the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, left for Germany on April 27, the day after the Hassan elections. A 'Blue Corner Notice' was issued by Interpol following an SIT request through the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Prajwal refuted the claims in a video statement released earlier this week, claiming that they were politically driven and that he had suffered from depression. He had also asked for anticipatory bail, and the hearing was scheduled for Friday, the PTI report added.
The affair has created political uproar, with the ruling Congress and the BJP-JD(S) coalition at conflict. The Congress administration created a SIT to investigate, while the BJP and JD(S) have urged for a CBI investigation and action against individuals who allegedly distributed pornographic recordings featuring Prajwal.
Deve Gowda recently asked his grandson to return to India and face the investigation, stating that no family influence would take place. Prajwal's uncle, former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, has also called for his return.
After the allegations, the JD(S) suspended Prajwal Revanna from the party.
