The Centre on Tuesday announced that those above 60, seeking booster shots or 'precautionary dose', need not present doctor's certificate or prescription to establish co-morbidity, as per an NDTV alert.

He had also said that the third dose to senior citizens without comorbidities is only applicable after nine months of receiving the second Covid-19 vaccine shot.

The CoWIN platform chief had further explained that the requirement of a comorbidity certificate from a registered physician is mandatory for the third shot.
