Robert Vadra, the son-in-law of former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, has voiced his belief that his wife, Priyanka Gandhi, possesses the aptitude to excel in Parliament and expressed hope that the Congress party will strategize effectively for her role.

Vadra shared, "She should be in Lok Sabha for sure. She has all the qualifications for it. She would be very good in Parliament and she deserves to be there. I hope that the Congress party accepts and plans better for her," in an interview with PTI.

Additionally, Vadra criticized Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani, for associating him with business magnate Gautam Adani during a parliamentary session. During a discussion on a no-confidence motion in Parliament, Irani displayed an image of Vadra alongside Adani.

Vadra, who usually avoids engaging in politics, stated, "I will speak to fight for my name because if there is anything they say they have to prove it."

He issued a challenge, stating, "I challenge them that if they are going to take my name and show my photograph, please show me something that I have done with Mr. Adani. If there is any wrongdoing, I will deal with it. If not, they have to apologize and retract their statements."

Vadra also brought attention to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's associations and posed questions about his actions, "We have a picture of our very own prime minister sitting in Adani's plane. Why should we not ask questions about that and what Rahul (Gandhi) has been asking? Why are these questions not being answered?"

Regarding the recent alliance formed by the opposition parties, Vadra expressed confidence, stating that the Congress joining the INDIA bloc will provide a robust challenge to the BJP-led NDA in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

In conclusion, Vadra urged Prime Minister Modi's intervention in the situation in Manipur, referencing sensitive matters like the treatment of women in the state. He criticized the suspension of opposition MPs from Parliament as an abuse of power by the ruling administration. (PTI)
