Pune: Woman loses job during pandemic, robs 16 men on dating app; arrested

The investigation has revealed that she met people through dating apps like Bumble and Tinder.

The Pimpri-Chinchwad police arrested a 27-year-old woman for robbing at least 16 she met through dating apps, last year. She would chat will people from Pune and other places and ask them to meet in the city.

Sayli Kale would reportedly spike the drinks of her dates and rob valuables, reported India Today. The incident came to light after a Chennai-based career guide filed a complaint against her for robbing him.

After police appealed to people to share their ordeal, 4 more men filed complain against her. The investigation has revealed that she met people through dating apps like Bumble and Tinder. And that she would have robbed both men and women she met through the apps but only men have filed complaints.

The accused lost her job last year during the pandemic and resorted to robbing people using the said modus operandi. Police arrested the woman and recovered cash and jewellery worth Rs 15.25 lakh from her.
