The elections in 60 gram panchayats in Maharashtra's Latur district will be held on November 5, the State Election Commission has declared, reported the PTI.
The election results will be announced on November 6, it said, the PTI reported.
According to the PTI, Of these, regular elections will be held in 13 gram panchayats, while bypolls will be conducted to elect 53 members in 47 panchayats, the poll body said in a release on Tuesday night.
With the announcement, the code of conduct for the polls has come into effect. It is a set of guidelines for political parties, candidates, government and the party in power during elections concerning speeches, announcements, election manifestos and general conduct, according to the PTI.

The poll notice will be published by the tehsildars concerned on October 6, said the release, adding that nomination papers will be accepted from October 16 to 20.
The final list of candidates in the fray will be published on October 25, it said, as pet the PTI.
Meanwhile, the Thane district administration in Maharashtra has appealed to graduates and political parties to help enrol a maximum number of voters during the preparation of rolls for the Konkan Division Graduates' constituency, the PTI had earlier reported.
According to the news agency, the district collector Ashok Shingare said the qualifying date for enrolment in the rolls is November 1. All the applications received between September 30 and November 6 will be considered for inclusion.
The final list of voters will be published on December 30 he had earlier told the reporters, as per the PTI.
All those who have graduated before October 31, 2020, will be eligible to list themselves as voters.
He said a list of universities and colleges offering graduation will be published on the date of publication of the notification on September 30.
The district election department will approach the establishments, civic bodies and the police departments to ensure maximum registration of voters.
In mid-September, the Thane district election department had said that the revision of electoral rolls for the Konkan Graduates' constituency will be done between October 16 and December 30, when the final list of electors will be published, PTI had earlier reported.
