A motorcycle-rider was reportedly killed after colliding with a car carrying Union minister Prahlad Patel and four persons including the minister were injured in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday evening, an official said, according to the PTI.
The accident took place near Singodi in Amarwara area, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sudhir Jain told PTI.
Prahlad Patel was heading back to Narsinghpur after campaigning for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Bunty Sahu who is pitted against state Congress chief Kamal Nath in Chhindwara assembly seat in the November 17 assembly polls.

The deceased was identified as Niranjan Chandravanshi (35), a teacher by profession.
Chandravanshi was reportedly returning home with his son when the incident took place, the officials said, as per the PTI.
The minister was given first-aid treatment while the other three injured persons, identified as Jatin (17), Sanskar (10), and Nikhil (7), were admitted to a hospital, the official said.
Prahlad Patel, Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, is contesting the assembly elections from Narsinghpur.
Police are conducting further probe into the accident, the SDM said.
Accident West Bengal
Meanwhile, in an another incident, one person was killed and seven others were injured when a moving truck fell on its side following a tyre burst in West Bengal's Howrah district on Tuesday, the police said.
The accident occurred at Salap in Domjur area when the betel leaf-laden vehicle was going to Shyambazar in Kolkata from Mecheda in Purba Medinipur district.
One person succumbed while being taken to Howrah District Hospital. Seven others are undergoing treatment there. All the victims were on the truck, a police officer said.
As one of the tyres of the moving truck burst, it fell on its side leading to a traffic jam on NH-16 for some time.
