A lunar eclipse or Chandra Grahan occurs during a full moon night. The sun, earth and moon align almost on the same plane, in a straight line.

While this year, on November 8, the partial lunar eclipse will begin at around 14:39 hours (IST) and will reach its totality phase around 15:46 hours, citizens will have to wait for another year to witness the lunar eclipse next year.

On October 29, 2023, a minor partial eclipse could be spotted in India.

As per Drikpanchang.com, the timing of the lunar eclipse on October 29, 2023, will begin at 01:06 an and will end at 02:22 am. The local eclipse duration will last for one hour sixteen mins and sixteen seconds.

The next total lunar eclipse that can be seen from India will occur on September 7, 2025.
