Ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, in a move to reach out to Telugu-speaking voters in Hyderabad, the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has come out with a song in Telugu.
AIMIM has released a bright six-minute music video highlighting the accomplishments of its leader, Asaduddin Owaisi, who is seeking a fifth consecutive term in the upcoming elections.
The music video, which was released by the party on Sunday, depicts Owaisi's activities in his district, encounters with individuals from various backgrounds, and unusual public gestures such as flying kites, which are the symbol of AIMIM. It demonstrates Owaisi's dedication to serve all communities, regardless of religious or caste affiliation.
Hindus, especially temple management committee members, greet Owaisi with shawls during his visits to the ancient city, while non-Muslims meet him at the party headquarters to discuss their issues.
The song's lyrics highlight Owaisi's fight for ordinary people's causes both inside and outside of Parliament.
This is the second time AIMIM has produced a Telugu song as part of their campaign efforts. Last November, the party released a Telugu song to reach out to Telugu-speaking voters for the Telangana Assembly elections.
AIMIM has maintained an unbroken electoral record in Hyderabad since 1984, when Asaduddin Owaisi's father, Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, won the party's first election.
Asaduddin Owaisi was elected to the Lok Sabha in 2004 after his father resigned for health reasons.
In the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, Owaisi will face a direct fight from BJP candidate K. Madhavi Latha. Other candidates include Gaddam Srinivas Yadav from BRS and Sameer Waliullah, the Congress candidate.
Elections for all 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana are slated for May 13.
