Amid the ongoing Israel-Palestine war, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in India has instituted a 24-hour control room to monitor the situation and offer information and assistance. This move aims to provide support to Indian citizens in the affected regions and facilitate communication during this tumultuous period, stated a report in ANI.
Contact details for the MEA control room in New Delhi include a toll-free number, +91-11 23012113, +91-11-23014104, +91-11-23017905, and +919968291988. In addition, queries and requests can be directed to situationroom@mea.gov.in.
To further assist Indians abroad during the crisis, the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel, has set up a 24-hour emergency helpline, accessible at +972-35226748 and +972-543278392. Queries or concerns can also be directed to cons1.telaviv@mea.gov.in.
Similarly, India's Representative Office in Ramallah has established a 24-hour emergency helpline, which can be reached at +970-592916418 (including WhatsApp) and rep.ramallah@mea.gov.in.

As the Israel-Palestine war escalated, the Indian diaspora in Israel expressed confidence in the country's military and expressed a desire to live peacefully in the region. Ilana Nagaukar, an Indian-origin resident of Ashkelon, Israel, acknowledged the challenging circumstances they face but affirmed their trust in the Israeli Army and their determination to live peacefully in their home.
ANI report quoted Rikki, another Indian-origin individual in Israel, expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support. She praised the Indian government for its efforts to assist the Indian community in Israel.
Amid the conflict, the Israeli Defence Forces continued their offensive against Hamas. The Israeli Air Force conducted an attack on the Islamic University in Gaza City, a major training centre for Hamas engineers, underscoring Israel's multi-front approach.
Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Brigadier General Omer Tishler, emphasized the military's commitment to ongoing operations, stating that they operate continuously and relentlessly to ensure the safety and security of Israeli citizens.
