The Karnataka Police carried out a flag march in Udupi ahead of the re-opening of schools up to the 10th standard from February 14.
The marches were carried out in Udupi, Chitradurga and Doddaballapura. This step was taken to maintain law and order in the state amid the ongoing hijab row.

Earlier, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai had declared a three day holiday for schools and colleges amid rising tensions. The matter is currently being heard at Karnataka High Court and the next hearing will take place on February 14.
