Four alleged militant associates arrested in J&K's Budgam: Police

The Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday said that the security forces arrested four associates of militants in Budgam district. The militants are associated with proscribed militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba.

The Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday said that the security forces arrested four associates of militants in Budgam district. The militants are associated with proscribed militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba.

A police spokesperson said that the four persons were arrested from Beerwah area of the central Kashmir district.

He identified them as Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, a resident of Gondipora Beerwah, Azhar Ahmad Mir, a resident of Chewdara Beerwah; Irfan Ahmad Sofi and Abrar Ahmad Malik, both residents of Arwah Beerwah.

He said that "incriminating materials were recovered from their possession", all of which have been taken into case records for further investigation. A case has been registered and investigation has been taken up, the spokesman said.
