November 2015: Woman raped at park in Bangalore -- A 35-year-old woman was allegedly raped by two security guards at the famous Cubbon Park. The woman hailing from Tumkuru had come to the city to take membership in a tennis club functioning at the sprawling Cubbon Park when the incident occurred. Two security guards were arrested in connection with the incident. (Full Story)
November 2015: Teenager raped in moving bus -- A 19-year-old nurse was raped in a moving bus here by its driver while the bus cleaner drove it. The attack took place when the young woman boarded the bus at Sulibele to go to work at a nursing home in Hoskote, 30 km from the city centre. Both the driver and the bus cleaner were arrested. September 2015: Techie murders wife, tries to frame friend -- In a sensational twist to what was a hoax call case that delayed international flights from Bengaluru and Delhi airports, a Bengaluru-based executive was arrested, with the suspect confessing he did it to get his friend into trouble as he was infatuated with his wife. Giving a sinister turn, the 37-year old executive also allegedly revealed during interrogation that he had fatally assaulted his wife in July and made it appear an accidental death. (Full Story)
August 2015: Minor sexually assaulted on school premises -- A three-year old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a watchman inside a private school campus in Bengaluru's Indira Nagar. The principal and president of the school were arrested today for not complying with orders issued by police on safety measures. The incident had triggered protests by parents of students who had clashed with cops.(Full Story)
October 2014: Manipuri youth assaulted for not speaking Kannada -- In a shocking incident, a Manipuri student was allegedly beaten by a gang of men who demanded he speak in Kannada. Three people were arrested in connection with the incident. (Full Story)
