A 31-year-old woman sustained injuries after three individuals shot at her in southwest Delhi, according to the local police. The incident occurred on Monday, prompting a swift response from the police.

Upon receiving information about the shooting, a team of police officers quickly arrived at the scene, the Indira Gandhi Hospital. However, they soon discovered that the victim required further medical attention and had been referred to Safdarjung Hospital, PTI reported.

At Safdarjung Hospital, authorities found that the injured woman, a resident of Dwarka Sector-7, was in no condition to provide a statement due to her medical condition. Her husband, Tara Chand, alleged that his wife had been shot by three individuals using a firearm, stated the report.

In response to this alarming incident, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, specifically sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 34 (common intention). Additionally, the case falls under the purview of the Arms Act. An ongoing investigation is actively underway to uncover further details surrounding the incident.

In another incident, a woman succumbed to her injuries at a Delhi hospital on Tuesday, a day after she was allegedly hit by a bus at Kashmere Gate, police told PTI. The deceased was a resident of Noida in Uttar Pradesh and sustained injuries after she met with the accident on Monday.

The police said that they had arrested the accused bus driver.

According to the report, the deceased Indu's husband, Karamveer Kumar filed a complaint with the police saying that a Punjab Roadways bus hit his wife at Kashmere Gate on Monday morning when she was headed to the restroom in the bus terminal.

A case against the driver was registered under Sections 279 (rash driving) and 337 (Causing hurt by an act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Following the victim's passing, Section 304A (causing death by negligence) of the IPC was added to the FIR.
