A special MP/MLA court in Delhi has acquitted Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Mohinder Goyal in a rape case. Goyal's brother Ishwar Chand Goyal has also been acquitted by the court. Goyal represents Rithala constituency in Delhi.

According to Bar and Bench, special judge Geetanjli Goel acquitted Goyal. "Vide separate judgement, accused Mohinder Goyal is acquitted of the offences under Sections 376(2)(n)/506/509 IPC," the order stated.

In February 2021, Goyal was put on trial after prima facie case was found against him. The victim had alleged that she was raped multiple times by Goyal when she had gone to meet him regarding pension issue. She was also threatened by MLA and his brother, who pressured her to establish physical relations with him. He also sent her explicit pictures.

However, a detailed judgement is yet to be released.
