Chhattisgarh Election 2023: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday evening held a roadshow in Raipur city, a day before campaigning for the second phase of the Chhattisgarh assembly elections ends, reported the PTI.
According to the PTI, a huge number of party workers and people gathered around the 'rath' (truck) carrying her as it rolled out from Rajiv Chowk amid playing of patriotic songs.
The roadshow covered a distance of around 7 km from Rajiv Gandhi Chowk to Telghani Naka in more than one hour.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra offered a garland to the statue of her late father and former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi at Rajiv Gandhi Chowk before kicking off the procession, as per the PTI.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, state Congress chief Deepak Baij and Congress candidates Mahant Ram Sundar Das (Raipur City South), Pankaj Sharma (Raipur Rural), Kuldeep Juneja (Raipur City North) and Vikas Upadhyay (Raipur City West) accompanied her, the news agency reported on Tuesday.
'Jai Shri Ram' was written on the front of the vehicle which also had Congress posters, according to the PTI.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was seen waving at the crowd that had gathered on the road and nearby buildings.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra shared pictures of the roadshow on her 'X' handle and wrote, "Today took part in a massive roadshow in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. I felt extremely happy to receive the love and blessings of people showered from all sides. Thanks Raipur for this love and respect. #Chhattisgarh_me_fir_se_Congress (Congress again in Chhattisgarh)".
The Chhattisgarh unit of the Congress in a series of posts wrote about the roadshow on its social media handle.
"The enthusiasm of the people towards the roadshow of Priyanka ji shows that Congress has won the trust of the public. Every section (of society) is standing strongly with Congress and this time Congress is going to form the government again in the state with 75 plus seats," it said.
"..Our mothers and sisters are very excited about @priyankagandhi ji, they have full confidence that the Congress government will not only give them Rs 15,000 annually but will also give them a subsidy of Rs 500 on refilling of every cooking gas cylinder," it added.
The roadshow passed through Kotwali, Satti Bazar and Amapara Chowk before culminating on the station road.
