In view of the uncertain conditions due to Covid-19 and the feedback obtained from various stakeholders, it was decided on June 1 that Class 12 Board Exams would not be held this year.
The CBSE had announced that Class 10 and Class 12 exams for 'private category' candidates will be held between August 16 and September 15 as per the policy framed by Supreme Court.
CBSE said results of the private candidates cannot be declared on the basis of an alternative assessment policy like that for regular candidates, as "neither schools nor CBSE has any previous assessment record for these students".
