On Thursday, the Delhi Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party Gopal Rai alleged that trapping Arvind Kejriwal in a "fake case," and putting him in jail is the move that has ensured BJP's defeat in the national capital. The party held a Sankalp Sabha on Thursday under the "Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se" campaign in the Malviya Nagar Assembly of the New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency.
Rai said the moment results will be announced in June, good days will return for the citizens of the country and Modi will be thrown out of power. The BJP won the previous two Lok Sabha elections because the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party contested separately, which divided votes, he said, per PTI report.
"This time, the first guarantee of Somnath Bharti's victory is his work, and the second guarantee is contesting elections on behalf of the INDIA bloc. This time not a single vote will be divided," he told PTI.
Reportedly, Rai said that when the BJP jailed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, it handed the alliance its third confidence of victory. "They have put him in jail, they do not allow him to meet his wife and children ...The country will not tolerate what the dictatorial BJP government is trying to do. This election is not about making a Prime Minister, Minister, and MP, but an election to save the Constitution and democracy of this country," he said. Additionally, the party organised a public hearing, or Jansamwaad, for Residents' Welfare Associations from the IP Extension area in East Delhi.

Presenting the AAP's 10-year report card to the RWAs, Mayor Shelly Oberoi, Speaker of the Vidhan Sabha Ram Niwas Goyal, and MP candidate Kuldeep Kumar asked their members to vote for "Kaam Ki Rajneeti" in the Lok Sabha elections as per a PTI report. For Oberoi, the AAP is still dedicated to improving living conditions and bolstering RWAs in Delhi.
She said that it had completely transformed everyone's access to power, healthcare, education, and urban infrastructure. "BJP has pushed East Delhi into a perpetual state of neglect. Lok Sabha polls are a chance to drive progress across all levels of govt under Arvind Kejriwal's vision," the speaker stated. Participating in a bike demonstration in Laxmi Nagar earlier in the day, Kuldeep Kumar urged people to answer to "jail with votes." This will be determined on May 25, when Delhi goes to poll in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
