Comfortably placed to retain power in Goa, the BJP on Thursday said it will take a decision on staking claim to form the next government in the state after a meeting of its newly elected MLAs on Friday.
The BJP said it has received letters of support from the Maharshtrawadi Gomantak Party and three Independent MLAs. In Panaji, independent candidate Utpal Parrikar, the son of former chief minister Manohar Parrikar, lost to BJP's Atanasio Monserratte.
