The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)-National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) has teamed with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka for aerial delivery of Covid-19 vaccines in a remote area of Bengaluru. The Octacopter developed by CSIR-NAL successfully delivered 50 vials of Covid-19 vaccine along with syringes in a special container from Chandapura PHC to Haragadde PHC on Saturday.
Over 3.16 lakh people were fined between April 19 and November 12 for violating Covid-related norms. According to the latest data shared by the Delhi Police, 3,16,565 challans were issued for such violations. It showed that 2,79,878 people were fined for not wearing masks, followed by 30,385 for not adhering to social distancing norms and 3,152 for consumption of liquor, paan and tobacco at public places.
India reported 11,850 new cases in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative case count to 34,426,036. The country's active caseload declined to 1,36,308 which is the lowest in 274 days.
A total of 872 dengue patients have been admitted in government hospitals till Friday, informed Nanak Saran, Chief Medical Officer. He assured that there was no shortage of platelets in the blood banks and that no casualty has been reported in the district due to dengue.
