With the Higher Secondary Certificate examination set to begin in Maharashtra from Thursday, a tense 18-year-old boy afraid his preparations weren't complete committed suicide at his home in Pune on Wednesday.
The deceased, who has been identified as Hrishikesh Rajram Tapkir (18), was a resident of Tapkir Vasati in Pune' Chaholi area.
The Dighi police, which comes the jurisdiction of Pune rural police, have filed a case of suicide and probing the case.
According to police, "Hrishikesh was a Class XII commerce student studying in Chaholi-based Wageshwar Junior College. He got up early in the morning and started studying. Later around 10 am on Wednesday he hung himself with a nylon rope on a ceiling fan, There is no suicide note, but primilary investigation shows that he ended his life."
