A 20-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide inside a toilet of Mumbai Metro's Andheri station after being upset over a quarrel with his mother, police said today


Mumbai: A 20-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide inside a toilet of Mumbai Metro's Andheri station after being upset over a quarrel with his mother, police said today.

Paresh Parmar hanged himself from the ceiling of the toilet yesterday, DCP (Detection), Dhananjay Kulkarni said.

The incident came to light late last night when a house keeping staff found the body hanging from the water pipe inside the washroom, Kulkarni said, adding the staffer immediately informed police.

Parmar was an auto-rickshaw driver and a resident of Ankleshwar district in Gujarat and had come to Mumbai two days ago.

A suicide note was also recovered from the spot in which Parmar stated that he was taking the extreme step over a tiff with his mother.

A case of suicide has been registered at the Andheri police station, police added.
