Yet another fire accident in city


A fire broke out near Gangaram Book House on MG Road, around 12.30 pm today.
Fire tenders rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire. According to the fire brigade, flames from a garbage dump spread to the area near the bookshop causing the accident.
A bike, parked in front of the bookshop, was completely destroyed in the accident.
The city witnessed about five fire accidents in the span of just two days and four such incidents occured on Thursday alone.
Bamboo sticksu00a0worth about Rs 35 lakh were gutted in a fire accident at Bamboo Bazaar near KR Marketu00a0on Thursday morning.
Another fire accident was reported at Peenya, where two cloth stores located on Dasarahalli Main Road caught fire.
Then,u00a0a fire broke out in the Bannerghatta National Park in theu00a0noon, but caused only minimal damage due to timely intervention of Forest Department officials.
A fire was also reported at a restaurant on K R Road in Basavanagudi, on the same day.u00a0
However, there were no casualties in any of the accidents.
