Ananya Verma is all set to enter the record books for gaining admission in Std IX at age, 4 years, 8 months and 21 days. Her sister Sushma Verma, was only 7 when she cleared her SSC exams in 2007 and was recognised by Limca Book of Records as the "youngest student". Ananya's brother Shailendra, who is the eldest in the family, finished his BCA at 14.

In fact, Ananya Verma's older sister Sushma completed her BSc at 13 and got an admission in PhD at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University at 15.
Ananya's folks are ecstatic about being parents to wonderkids. Her father Tej Bahadur, assistant supervisor (sanitation) at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, claims Ananya was able to read the Ramayana and Sunder Kaand when she was just an year old. Her mother Chaya Devi is illiterate.
Ananya Verma, who will turn 5 on December 1, was officially given admission to class IX at a Lucknow school after the education department's consent. She is apparently able to, "speak fluent Hindi, read class IX books easily."
