Vice President Hamid Ansari greets nation ahead of Janmashtami

New Delhi: Vice President M.Hamid Ansari has extended his warm greetings and good wishes to the people of India ahead of the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami.

'I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to the people of our country on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami. May this auspicious day bring peace, amity, harmony and prosperity in our lives.' Ansari said.

He said Janmashtami is celebrated across the country with traditional gaiety and enthusiasm, and marks the birth of Lord Krishna.

'It reminds us of his life and teachings. Lord Krishna's eternal message of spiritual wisdom, the Bhagwad Gita, has been a source of inspiration for the entire mankind,' he said.
