Two more murders were reported yesterday.

A single woman was killed in her house in Sarvabhavmanagar yesterday afternoon and a man was killed on Sarjapur Outer Ring Road when he was returning home from work on Tuesday night.

Housewife killed

Gayathri (26) is suspected to have been strangled between 12 and 12.30 pm when she was alone. Her body was discovered by her five-year-old daughter Tanvi who had returned home from school at 12.30 pm.

Tanvi found her mother lying with a pillow on her face and the wire of a mobile charger around her neck. She then ran outside and started to cry. When her neighbours asked her what happened she told them of her mother.

Police suspect that Gayatri may have been raped and then murdered. Her husband Nanjundegowda is also being questioned.

"Today, he told his boss that he was going to Yelahanka to meet some relatives and did not come to work. So, we suspect him too," said police sources.u00a0 Nanjundegowda works for a cable network in Koramangala.u00a0
