Three prisoners, including two Bangladeshi convicts, scaled the walls of a Tripura jail and escaped, officials said Monday
Abu Taher, 26, Ali Ahed, 30 and Rafikul Islam, 22 -- serving imprisonment since last year -- escaped from Sonamura sub-divisional jail in western Tripura, 60 km west of here, by scaling the prison walls with the help of a rope late Sunday night, a district administration official told reporters.
Abu Taher, an Indian citizen, and Bangladeshi nationals Ali Ahed and Rafikul Islam were arrested in cases of vehicle theft and dacoity.
Tripura Jail Minister Manindra Reang visited the jail Monday and ordered a probe.

Officials said a massive manhunt has been launched to nab the three convicts who broke jail. The state government has also asked the Border Security Forces (BSF) to seal the adjacent India-Bangladesh border.
