Peacock won gold, Brown the second and Fourie the bronze.


INDIA: Nuns belonging to the order of the Missionaries of Charity take part in a mass service to commemorate the 15th death anniversary of Mother Teresa at her tomb at the Missionaries of Charity house in Kolkata. Mother Teresa, the "Angel of Mercy," a Nobel peace prize winner and Roman Catholic saint-in-waiting, died on September 5, 1997 in Kolkata.


MACEDONIA: A full moon is seen behind tree branches in Skopje. According to NASA, this is the second time that a full moon is seen - the first was on August 1 to 2. This phenomenon, which is referred to as the 'blue moon', happens every two and a half years on average.


ISRAEL: 40th anniversary of Munich massacre - Israeli athlete Esther Roth-Shachamorov, 60, who survived the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre, poses next to an old picture at her home near Tel Aviv. It was September 5, 1972 , the day a group of Palestinian gunmen broke into the quarters of the Israeli men's team at the Olympic Village, killing an athlete, a coach and taking others hostage, demanding the release of 232 prisoners.


SPACE: A satellite captured this image of Hurricane Leslie churning in the Atlantic Ocean near Bermuda. Hurricane Leslie, a category one storm cycling closer to North America, continued moving northward and was projected to pass over or near Bermuda.u00a0
