Six persons, including two women and a child, were killed while at least 20 others were severely injured in a bus accident in West Bengal on Wednesday, police said.

The accident occurred around 3 p.m. when the bus, travelling to West Midnapore district's Sabang area, fell into a roadside ditch, a police officer said.
According to police, the driver lost control of the vehicle after a bike suddenly came in its way.

"The driver or the conductor could not be identified amid the chaos. No one has been detained," the officer added.
