Six cases H1N1 repored in Hyd city

Six suspected cases of H1N1 were reported in Hyderabad today.


Four more confirmed cases of H1N1 were reported in Hyderabad today, bringing the total number to seven.

All have been admitted at the Chest Hospital where their conditions are stable, Dr Prakash, superintendent of the hospital told PTI.u00a0u00a0u00a0

The patients include a four-and-a-half year old child and 16-year-old teenager.

One the cases, a software engineer and his brother had admitted themselves after they suspected they were showing symptoms of the virus.

The engineer had just arrived from the states.

u00a0

Following the confirmation, other passengers were also tested.

Of the infected, five had arrived from America, one from Austria and another New Mexico, Prakash said.

The race of now on to identify all the people the infected have been in touch with the last 48 hours, the incubation period of the virus before the symptoms are seen.
