New Delhi: Eight people including a couple was arrested by in Delhi for human trafficking, police said on Tuesday. Police said that the culprits, ran a sex racket and a syndicate suspected to have trafficked girls from Nepal to India.
The culprits, Saira Begum, her husband Aafaq Hussain along with six of their aides have been booked under stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
"Saira (45) and Hussain (50) ran a 'syndicate' that is suspected to have trafficked more than 5,000 girls from Nepal and remote areas of West Bengal, Odisha, Karnataka, Assam, Andhra and other states," a police official said.
