At least Rs.12 lakh were Monday stolen from an automated teller machine (ATM) of a nationalised bank in north Delhi, police said.
The theft at the ATM of Punjab National Bank was reported at Indra Vikas Colony in the evening.
The Security and Intelligence Services Ltd., a company responsible for loading cash into the ATM outlet, Monday found that the machine was open and cash missing, police said.
A security guard posted outside the ATM was missing, police said.
"The bank is ascertaining the amount missing," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Romil Baniya told IANS.
Roughly around Rs.12 lakh was missing from the teller machine, he added.
