After a corporate life that seemed to leave him pining for direction, this talented young man now helps other people at work deal with their issues
Life at work is often more stressful than all of one's personal problems put together. Often more than not, youngsters, especially in a city like ours, succumb to these pressures and give in, losing all hope of ever finding a reason to hold on.
Experts, psychologists and managerial heads agree that suicide and an increasing prevalence of depression are the biggest problems that corporate Bangalore faces today.
In such trying times, its people like Sanjay Vaswani that gives young Bangalore hope. After quitting SAP a few years ago, the young man realized that he had learnt enough from the extremely professional field and decided to take time off to focus on a dream and follow it. He travelled for six months, lived off his savings and at the end of his period of self'discovery, was finally convinced that his call was 'personal training'. Sanjay supported by friend and confidante Shailesh Deshpande, soon began work on his first project. The project aimed at getting corporates to understand that 'personal training' was personnel training. Sanjay wanted management teams to realize that productivity would only be positively influenced if the employee had a positive outlook at work. "I wanted to bring in a wholistic approach to training. To make people believe in maintaining HQs or happiness quotients, which I think are essential for healthy employees," Sanjay says.
Sanjay's repertoire includes process training, product training, training in leadership skills and team building skills along with modules aimed at getting employees to enjoy the work they do and have a more general positive attitude to work. His journey towards helping people in distress however doesn't end here.
Sanjay has always been inclined toward the 'mystic' arts. A famed aura reader, as any fan of his at Koshy's will swear and vouch for, Sanjay has several gifts that he has learnt to use for the benefit of people around him.
What started off as a chance reading of a 'pranic healing course' ad in a newspaper led Sanjay to discover his innate abilities to read and heal energies around him. Sanjay soon started paying more attention to people to understand energy and the way it affects their moods and performances. What began there ended in tarot cards and today Sanjay and Shailesh have formed The Third'I in response to these interests. The Third'I is based on a three step process to help individuals realise their true'selves through projection, perception and actualisation.
With varied interests in arts as diverse as crystal healing and angel channeling, Sanjay wants to however tell the world that religion doesn't need to play a huge part in discovering one's spirituality.
"I want to focus on life skills coaching, to help people benefit from coming to terms with their own spirituality and I believe it adds to what I like to call 'wholesome personal development'. People today need a combination of all these elements and when they are introduced to them in the right way, they can maximize the benefits they receive from them," Sanjay adds.
The Third'I has already held two successful seatings of tarot card readings over the last few weeks and Sanjay hopes to organize a few more soon. The Third'I is now a one'stop destination for anyone interested in Corporate Training, Personal Training, Tarot Readings or Crystal Healing and Sanjay hopes to soon add the science of numerology to his repertoire, once he's mastered the art.
Finding connections between most of these energy'channeling mediums seems to make Sanjay comfortable with what he's doing and we're sure he'll go places.
