After late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh revealed that he had filed a complaint with Mumbai police in February claiming his son's life was in danger, the Mumbai Police has issued a statement refuting Singh's claims. While releasing the statement, Mumbai Police said that no such written complaint was addressed to Bandra police station at that time.

In another twist of turn in actor Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case, the late actor's father released a video on Monday and alleging inaction from Mumbai police even after 40 days of the actor's sudden death. In his self-made video, Singh that the accused in the actor's death case is on the loose, and Patna Police should be provided with help.

The statement issued by Mumbai Police

Setting all speculations to rest, Mumbai Police has now issued an official statement. As per the statement, IPS OP Singh, the brother-in-law of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput had sent some WhatsApp message to DCP zone 9 regarding this matter back then, said the statement issued by DCP Shahji Umap, Spokesperson Mumbai police

However, DCP zone 9 had called Singh and requested him to file a written complaint, as it was mandatory to initiate any inquiry or action. The official statement by the Mumbai Police further said that Rajput's brother-in-law O P Singh wanted the issue to be resolved informally, to which the then DCP zone 9 clearly told him that it was not possible.

Earlier in the day, Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh had said that an Accidental Death Report (ADR) was filed in late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's alleged suicide. He also said that the Mumbai Police is investigating the case in which the forensic expert and team of doctors have been consulted.

While the investigation is underway to determine whether Sushant's death is suspicious or not, Singh said the Mumbai Police have not yet reached any conclusion. Shedding more light in the case, the city police chief said that the police had called Sushant's sister to give a statement in detail once again but she did not come."

"Sushant's family recorded their statement once but they did not come when called again," the police commissioner said. The Dil Bechara actor was found hanging at his rented apartment on June 14 in Bandra. The actor's final postmortem report confirmed that Rajput died of asphyxia due to hanging while his viscera report ruled out any foul play.
