The Pune Rural police have registered a case against a professor and eight students over the alleged repeated sodomy of a youth from Borivali.
According to the police, the 20-year-old studies in a college in Pune, and stayed in the hostel on the premises.
In September 2015, eight students of the college barged into his hostel room at night, and sexually assaulted him. The police said the youngster informed his professor, but the official ignored it. The youth was again sodomised by the same students this October, after which the police booked the alleged assaulter and the professor.
After his assaults, the youth complained of pain in the back and was rushed to Sion hospital in Mumbai. The doctors there informed the police and asked them to register an offence.
"The boy had written to his professor to inform him about the incident. The boy later shifted to a private residence, fearing the boys. But again, in October this year, the boys entered the private premises and allegedly had unnatural sex with him," said RR Varate, sub-inspector of Rajgad police station in Pune Rural area.
Varate said the eight students and the professor have been booked, and they will be arrested soon. All eight students and the professor have been booked for unnatural sex, wrongful confinement and criminal intimidation.
