A two-part exhibition in town is all set to cover a plethora of subjects, from the paintings of MF Hussain to the Mumbai terror attack. Take your pick
Life's all about variety, and so's all the beauty and beast in it. A two-part exhibition, Harvest 2009, is a variety fair of sorts, encompassing everything, from the works of masters to the atrocities of terrorism. More on the show, being organised by Arushi Arts Gallery, follows.
Part by part
The exhibition will be divided into two parts. Part 1 is called 'Unwinding the threads of tradition'. Participating artists include Arpana Caur, KG Subramanyan, Somnath Hore, S H Raza, Akbar Padamsee, F N Souza, M F Hussain, Sakti Burman, Jamini Roy, Seema kohli, Anjolie Ela Menon, Neeraj Goswami, Jaishri Burman, Sanjay Battacharya (phew!), Paresh Maity, Manish Pushkale, Kishore Shinde et all. The affair will showcase murals, sculptures, installations, abstracts and paint works. The second part, titled 'Ctrl + Alt + Del', based on the recent Mumbai terror attack, will see contemporary works in digital art, photography, abstract and sculpture.

"This is the tenth year of the show, and so, we wanted to work on an interesting theme. The starting point was a slogan that came up after the Bombay terror attack: Shut up and do something," signs off Payal Kapoor, owner of Arushi Arts Gallery.
