At Chi Kitchen, you can scribble your thoughts on an interactive blank mat while digging into tongue-tickling Pan-Asian potpourri
Food
A good experience starts with good service, but be prepared for disappointment if you head here on a weekend.
Nevertheless, the steaming hot dimsums make up for it with ease. You can choose between the Har Gau (Rs 350) or Seafood Dumpling (Rs 275), to name the best few. Vegetarians will love the Spinach and Mushroom
Dumpling (Rs 225) or the Chive Dumpling (Rs 225). Soups, salads and starters can also be opted for.
For the main course, we embarked on 'Chizzas' or Asian Pizzas, which are the USP of this place. With names inspired by cult Hollywood hits, the Good Fellas (Rs 450) or Pulp Fiction (Rs 425), if not Basic Instinct (Rs 285), would entice your tastebuds. Other stuff on your palate are regular ramen, tappen, Congi and Wok dishes with noodles or rice. To end the meal on a sweet note, top it up with a 'chi it yourself dessert' or a sinful chocolate cake, served with marshmallows, nuts et al (Rs 195 each).
Drinks
The liquor license is still awaited; till then, you can try the mocktails (Rs 75 to Rs 95). A must sip on the menu are the exotic teas, a mix of oriental and Indian herbal leaves blended artfully. Inhale the sweet aroma of an Emerald Tea (Rs 180) or fall into the spell of the emerald green Dragon Well (Rs 200). "The variety of teas is a speciality here. There are jasmine teas, and dainty Oolong teas. People need to brew a taste for these, and when they do, they really enjoy these teas. They are very healthy and good for skin," says Rakesh Ranjan Jha, manager.
Ambience
The du00e9cor boasts of nirvana-orange accents, and the focus is on fusion of art forms, food being the creative art form and the interactive form being the display kitchen. Think quirky aura-like designs, paper mats and clever crossword puzzles. Or, head to the breezy outdoors for a nature-enriched evening.
