New Delhi: Uproar by Congress against the alleged ‘vendetta politics' in the wake of National Herald case continued to disrupt Rajya Sabha for the fourth day yesterday, with the House witnessing two adjournments in the pre-noon session.

Congressmen disrupted the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha for the fourth day in a row over issuance of summons to the party top brass.

Proceedings in the House began with Chairman Hamid Ansari mentioning about the 14th anniversary of dastardly terror attack on Parliament House. Soon after, several Congress members trooped into the Well of the House shouting anti-government slogans like ‘Modi teri tanashahi nahi chalegi, nahi chalegi (Dictatorship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not be tolerated)' and ‘Hitlershahi nahi chalegi (Hitler-like attitude will not be tolerated).

Owing to the protest, Congress member Bhaskar Rapolu even refused to lay the Report of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy.

Transfer of shares illegal: Bhushan
New Delhi: Former law minister Shanti Bhushan yesterday said the transfer of shares of Associated Journals Ltd (AJL) to Sonia-Rahul Gandhi controlled private firm Young Indian Limited (YIL) was ‘totally illegal'. "I don't think any notice were sent to any of the shareholders. The transfer of control and shares from a large number of patriotic people to a family is ‘totally illegal'," Bhushan said.

Do not disrupt House for political reasons: Naidu
New Delhi: Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister, M Venkaiah Naidu on Friday appealed to Congress MPs not to disrupt Parliament over the National Herald case and deal with legal issues in the courts. "Don't disrupt the parliament for political reasons. Politics is politics, we can fight outside but allow Parliament to function. All the national dailies have written an editorial urging the Congress party to end this confrontation in the parliament and answer the legal issues in the courts. That's the unanimous view of the media as well," Naidu told reporters.

Will continue to raise voice against political vendetta: Congress
New Delhi: Congress leader Pramod Tiwari yesterday said that his party would continue to raise their voice in the Parliament against political vendetta over the National Herald case saying that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had extended them the same courtesy during the UPA regime. "We have no option but to raise our voice against political vendetta as the Parliament is a law making forum. I don't know if the Prime Minister was referring to this disruption of Parliament or the disruption, which his party created two years back. This disruption has been going on since three to four days, but his party disrupted the house for three to four months. So, I think if this formula applies here then this formula applies there also," Tiwari said.
