Mumbai builder's custody extended

Police custody of Mumbai-based builder Nilesh Mahendra Tanna (30) was extended till December 27 by a city court on Sunday


Tanna was arrested on charges of cheating Pune-based builder Raju Punjabi to the tune of Rs 12 crore.

Tanna allegedly prepared a forged MoU related to a 23-hectare plot in Marunji village near Hinjewadi IT Park, originally owned by Aniruddha Deshpande, who is the managing director of City Corporation Ltd, and other partners.

Deshpande had lodged the complaint at Deccan police station against Tanna and his accomplices. u00a0
