Outgoing Mumbai Police Commissioner Ahmad Javed got a grand farewell from fellow police officers on his last day of retirement at Naigaon Police parade ground in Central Mumbai.
During his short speech, Javed thanked the state police force for supporting him and congratulated the 13 President Medal's recipients from Mumbai police.

Ahmad Javed after retirement soon likely to take charge of his new responsibility as the Indian envoy in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has already cleared his appointment and the post is presently vacant.
Senior IPS officer Datta Padsalgikar was named as the new Police Commissioner of Mumbai. He will take over from Sunday.
