A portion of a building collapsed in Girgaum, Mumbai around 8.30 am on Saturday morning, trapping 3. Those trapped have been rescued and no casualty has been reported.

A portion of Pathare building's second floor in Girgaum collapsed around 8.30 am. Two fire engines and two ambulances were sent to the spot. The debris fell in the neighboring building called Bhansali building, blocking their access. Three people were trapped upstairs. The fire brigade had to use ladders to rescue them.No injury have been reported.

R G Patil, station officer from Gowalia Tank fire station said, "It was a MHADA building. The engineers are on site and the building has been evacuated. They are doing inspection. Our duty is done."
