Josh (Kannada)
Cast- Rakesh,Vishnu, Alok, Sharan,Bhargavi,Meena and Sneha
Director- Shivamani
Theater- Trivani, Prasanna, PVR
Rating- ''1/2
Director Shivamani is back with all the 'Josh' after a hiatus of two years. Josh brings back to the fore the vivacity of student and campus life. The movie bears a resemblance to Jolly Days and various other campus capers, but the fast and lucid screenplay and a substantial storyline take the movie to a 'different league'.u00a0
What's it about: The film revolves around a group of fun loving pranksters who join the same college afteru00a0their schooling. Rocky (Rakesh) is in pursuit of the amore Meena (Poorna), for some time with no luck. Meena rejects Rocky and this forces him to fall in love with another girl in the same college. While all his friends emerge successful in their academics, Rocky loses his studies and character because of love and bad company. Later he realises the importance of education, his responsibilities and the value of life.
What's Hot: Full marks to Shivamani for apt casting. Actors big and small fit into their roles perfectly u00e2u0080u0094 even the supernumeraries on the college campus look so real. All the lead actors are new comers and there is a lot of Josh in their performances. Cameraman Santosh has done an excellent job. Robo Ganesh who plays the villain impresses with his unique mannerism and acting skills.
What's Not: Supporting actors Achyut and Karibasavaiah with their 'overacting' are irritating at times. The music and the dialogues too are not up to the mark.

Verdict: Shivamani's efforts and the performance of the newbies make Josh a watchable flick.u00a0

What's not: Better technical support would have providedu00a0it a refined touch. Item song springs on you at the wrong situation and spoils the tempo.
Verdict: Overall, Savaari is a cool and decent fare.
