Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoped that a lot of good decisions will be taken during parliament's monsoon session that began on Tuesday
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed hope that the monsoon session of parliament that began on Tuesday would be fruitful.
Addressing the media ahead of the session, the prime minister said that an all party meeting was held in an excellent atmosphere on Monday.
He added that it has always been the government's constant effort to ensure that all important decisions to take the country forward are taken cooperatively.

"During the last session, some political parties had assured that work would be done on priority basis. Hence, I am hopeful that good and maximum decisions will be taken in this session and the parliament will function as a medium to conduct fruitful discussions as per the hopes and expectations of the nation," he said.
The prime minister said he was grateful to all parliamentarians for their support.
Modi added: "Today this session begins with the faith that the contribution of the MPs will continue."
The session is scheduled to run till August 13.
