Following the death of Atul Adagle (26) on Monday, an angry mob burnt a liquor outlet in Nigadi where tadi was allegedly being sold. The crowd got infuriated, as it's believed that Adagle died after consuming the liquor that he had bought from the shop.
Adagle was found lying in an unconscious state at his residence. He was then rushed to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
According to the post mortem report, the cause of death is not yet known. However, the viscera have been sent for chemical analysis.
As per the local police, a procession for Adagle's funeral was passing by the same liquor shop, which is owned by one Naresh Bhandari. Seeing the shop open, the crowd got infuriated and set it on fire.
