Second and third place recipients were presented with a certificate. Finalists in the print categories will be featured in the 2009 edition of Best In Marketing, a digital publication chronicling the honourees of the INMA Awards.

"This has been a challenging year for newspapers worldwide, and to see the high quality of marketing work is heartening for our industry's aim to grow audience, advertising, and brand," said Earl J Wilkinson, executive director and CEO of INMA. "Breakthrough campaigns like we see with our top winners is the exclamation point on this high level of quality."

The 24 judges for the 2009 competition came from all over the world, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Japan, Norway, Thailand and the United States.
